Because the Ital Restaurant's reputation for good food and a great atmosphere has spread far and wide throughout the North of England, it attracts more than its fair share of celebrities. The astronomer Patrick Moore has dined with us as have actors such as Sean Bean and members of the casts of Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and Shameless. Many are regulars. Music groups like D:Ream and M People have enjoyed evenings at the Ital, and so too have sporting celebrities such as Lee Sharp, Emile Heskey, Robbie and Henry Paul, and members of Bradford City and Bradford Bulls.

Apart from the celebrities who you may be able to spot from time to time, you should however keep your eyes for some key members of our team who will do all they can to make your evening everything you would want it to be ...

Aldo (Snr) and Rocchina De Vittoris

The founders of Ital, Aldo Snr (pictured above) and Rocchina can still be found helping out in the restaurant from time to time. You can read their story at How it all Began.

Aldo De Vittoris Junior

Born in Bradford in July 1970, Aldo is one of the present partners in the Ital Restaurant.

Aldo trained at Bradford College where he qualified with distinction in Silver Service and as a Chef. He can usually be found cooking in the kitchen, but sometimes he will be found taking your orders ... or your money. He has strong opinions on a range of subjects and will be more than happy to share them with you.

His partner is Sharon and they have two children, Luca and Nico.


Christian De Vittoris

Born in Bradford in April 1975, Christian is a partner with Aldo Jnr in the Ital Restaurant.

Christian too trained at Bradford College and qualified with distinction in Silver Service. A virtuoso player of the air guitar and a seductive serenader with his air microphone, he is un-missable as he moves around the restaurant, taking orders, looking after the guests, and hooting with laughter at one thing or another. He is married to the gorgeous Kelly and has one delightful baby boy — Rocco Antonio.

Manuel Castillo

Manuel (known as Manolo) was born in Chile, and from the desert to the green land of England, he has a wealth of experience in teaching, industry, administration and catering.

Manolo has been connected to the De Vittoris family for a long time but joined the team as Manager when he was made an offer that he couldn't refuse.

You will find Manolo ever attentive, doing his utmost to ensure that your visit to the Ital Restaurant is a pleasurable one.


Angelo Dardes

Born in November 1943 in Rapolla, in the Southern Italian province of Potenza, Angelo came to the UK in 1968. In 1970, he joined Aldo De Vittoris Senior and throughout the years has worked for him in his various enterprises — see How it all began. Now, having found his forté as a Pizza Chef 36 years earlier, he is still making pizzas of the highest quality for the Ital Restaurant.

Angelo is married to Filomena and they have two boys — Michele and Garbriele (featured in the movie on the home page).


Marco D'Adamo

Marco was born in August 1982 in Bradford.

He joined the Ital Restaurant team as a Sous Chef at the age of seventeen and has now been working in the Ital kitchen for about eight years.

Marco's mother, Milvia, comes from Verona in Veneto, Northern Italy, and is herself an excellent cook. From a very early age, she passed her skills on to Marco and taught him to cook just as well as she. Her training has, of course, stood him in very good stead.
